Article: A Growing Environmental Crisis
- Door Sam
Intro: The world is currently facing a serious environmental crisis that threatens the future of life on Earth. Rapid industrial growth, population increase, and irresponsible human activities have placed immense pressure on natural ecosystems. Environmental degradation is no longer a distant problem—it is happening now and affecting millions of people across the globe.
Body content: One of the most serious issues today is climate change. The excessive burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and gas has increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, leading to rising global temperatures. As a result, the world is experiencing extreme weather events including heatwaves, floods, hurricanes, wildfires, and prolonged droughts. These disasters destroy homes, reduce agricultural productivity, and put human lives at risk.
Additional content: Another critical issue is pollution. Air pollution from vehicles, factories, and power plants causes severe health problems such as asthma, lung disease, and heart conditions. Water pollution, caused by industrial waste, sewage, and plastic dumping, contaminates rivers and oceans, killing marine life and making water unsafe for human use. Plastic pollution has become especially dangerous, as microplastics are now found in food, water, and even the human body.
